I am a healer. A birth keeper. An intuitive. A healthcare provider. A believer. A mother (to a dog… but give me a few years). I believe in birth. I believe in equality & human rights. I believe in holding the space to facilitate healing, rather than medicating or denying. I believe suffering is a catalyst to profound growth. I believe in your ability to heal, & in the power of Chinese medicine. I am wildly passionate about empowering men, women and their families, educating with concepts of wellness, & offering the resources to create positive birth outcomes & healthy lives for the whole family.

After surviving the loss of a number of friends and family members during my adolescence, dealing with multiple traumas and living with chronic respiratory and digestive health conditions, I found myself in a healing crisis. Searching for peace and purpose, I was introduced to Chinese Medicine. With the use of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and my own conscious awareness, I experienced a recovery to health and gained a new understanding of wellness. This integration of mind, body and spirit inspired me on my journey toward becoming a health practitioner. In 2012 graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with my master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Time travel- June 2009, I attended my sister's third birth. MAGIC! A gorgeous, sacred water birth. This experience taught me gentle birth, both physiologically and spiritually. It also confirmed my passion for women's health and birth support. Many years later I am still completely inspired and passionate about this specialty!

LESSON: It is a societal norm to "check out" when someone is in pain or suffering. Am I right? We are taught as children to "fix it," to care take, to "make people feel better." This is an epic fail!!! Attending births, deaths, and holding space for men and women deeply struggling to survive- THIS has taught me one precious truth: If we hold the space for growth, pain and struggle, if we allow it, surrender to it, and honor it and all the gifts and growth that come with it (which is a painful process) we open up the possibility for HEALING of the mind, body and spirit. Our bodies have a profound and innate capacity to heal when the proper emotional, physical and energetic support is offered.

This part is always so boring. Let's be real. I am SO PASSIONATE AND INSPIRED by the families I work with. By birth, by healing, by the journey of growing another human, by the suffering of whatever came before growing said human and the journey that is your life. I am inspired by you, and I love love love connecting, educating and offering the wisdom of this medicine.

I have completed advanced trainings in pregnancy, birth, infertility, postpartum and pediatrics with leading practitioner's and legendary midwives and doulas including; Claudia Citkovitz, MS, L.Ac., Soma Glick, L.Ac., midwife Robin Lim, and doula Debra Pascali-Bonaro, & the Integrative Fertility Symposium.
