CHINESE MEDICINE

Chinese medicine is a 3,000 year old form of root cause medicine, and at our Bend, Oregon clinic it remains the foundation of everything we do — used to diagnose and treat a diverse range of health conditions, symptoms, and imbalance. Also improves and optimizes overall health and vitality.

From regulating moon cycles and harmonizing emotions to eliminating chronic disease. We’ll make a plan to support your mind, body and spirit and get you back to balance, feeling good!

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture works by stimulating points located on specific pathways- called meridians.  Each point has many specific actions within the channel, the area of the body, & the organ systems. Activating these points stimulates a healing response of the brain and central nervous system.

The medicine of acupuncture, body work and guided visualization allows our physical, emotional and energetic bodies to shift into parasympathetic which is known as “rest and digest.” Here, in this relaxed state, we shift into the receptive mode, our energy system reorients into balance and almost always when we shift out of this state (as the end of a session) - we feel far more internal resources and balance.

It’s blissful, you guys! We call it “acu bliss” when you leave a session for a reason!

Our patients at our Bend clinic report feeling recharged, balanced, relieved, hopeful, supported, relaxed & reset after their sessions.

CHINESE HERBAL MEDICINE

We will most likely prescribe you an herbal formula. This will be tailored to meet the needs of your individual constitution and condition. Most of these herbs are plant based, rarely we use minerals and animal bi-product.

Traditionally herbs were given in dried form, they were to be boiled and decocted prior to drinking as medicine. These days that is generally not realistic with our lifestyle. Primarily we prescribe herbal extractions in the form of granules, capsules, or tincture. We used well sourced products that follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

DIAGNOSIS

We will ask you many questions regarding your health and each system of the body. At your in-depth initial visit we really get to know you, your body and history. During each visit we will ask questions, assess your tongue, look at your complexion and body type, feel your pulse, palpate your body and sometimes observe specific movements. We are looking at the whole body and at the outward manifestation on internal disease.

TREATMENT

We utilize a blend of acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxabustion, guasha, cupping, dietary therapy, body work and lifestyle suggestions. Following your initial appointment we will give you an in-depth treatment plan that outlines frequency of treatment, herbal medicine, dietary and lifestyle suggestions and possibly lab work recommendations and supplements.
